My client is a leading global financial institution who has IT at their core. Their office in Tralee is purely an IT a R&D function for them as they are heading towards managed IT as a Service.
The office in Tralee, Co. Kerry has been established for 2 years and so far has attracted some of the brightest It minds. They now need a further UNIX & Linux System Administrator to join their growing team. |You will grow your skill set in areas such as security and large transactional based internet banking as their UNIX and Linux System Administrator.
Do to the multiple technologies and flavour of Unix & Linux you are guaranteed a very varied and interesting role. You will also get experience working with teams globally as you work alongside the UNIX and Linux team in New York.

The role and responsibilities:
- Responsible for upgrading, patching, provisioning and support of all UNIX/Linux hardware & software
- Respond to support requests, user queries, alerts and system monitoring tools
- Troubleshoot identified issues following documented procedures
Minimum requirements:
- Proven Linux/UNIX Administration skills
- Some scripting skills
- Some VMware knowledge - vSphere or other virtual infrastructure
- Experience or knowledge of a strict SDLC environment
