Job description:
To provide expert input to the IT/Networking strategy to ensure that the technical options are in line with the Company Plan. In close liaison with other architects, customers, management and suppliers, to provide strategic direction for, to design and to validate solutions for major/complex/high risk projects in alignment with ITOPS strategy.
In-depth knowledge of network technologies
MPLS/802.1Q/Routing/802.1x/ACS/Cisco UC
Virtualization/IPsec/QOS/NAC
Cisco/Juniper product knowledge
Network management system knowledge
Team player
Communicator, ability to present and communicate ideas and directions
All the above mentioned skills are at expert level: experience 10 years.
Here is the scope of work:
Tasks:
Conduct strategic analysis of architecture improvements, models and new products. These analyses will be conducted in liaison with architects, internal customers and third party suppliers.
Produce architecture solutions/designs
Provide expert technical assistance during design activities and to resolve issues.
Participate in multi disciplinary project teams to provide expert knowledge.
Perform the feasibility study to introduce technology that allows reducing the number of network objects to be managed and configured, using techniques like virtual chassis, remote shelves and others to hide network complexity while ensuring resilience.
Modify HQ Enterprise setup to avoid the use of the ATM backbone between campus buildings and revisit the topology
Elaborate the network architecture to provide off campus Business continuity
Analyse how to enforce segmentation and how the data centre setup has to evolve to ensure we can enforce this
