Job Description
Summary
Responsible for supporting the PMO Director regarding all aspects of the PMO risk management program. Responsibilities include facilitating the identification of risks throughout the project portfolio, developing, reporting and monitoring formats on risk management issues and developing methodologies for the assessment of risks throughout the portfolio.
Job Duties
Facilitate the risk management process by providing insight and direction as teams identify, analyze and manage project and program risks; support teams as they proactively respond to threats and opportunities.
Determine methodologies, tools, and key performance indicators that support and measure the effectiveness of project risk management.
Monitor quality and maintain data integrity for the PMO Risk and Issue tracking database.
Develop and implement risk training and support programs in alignment with policies, procedures, and guidance.
Cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with cross-functional teams across all segments of IMG.
Run the weekly PMO Risk Management meeting.
Job Requirements
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of project risk management experience.
Ability to influence others and present a compelling case for embracing risk management.
Experience with quantitative risk analysis and Schedule Risk Assessment.
Working knowledge of the structure and value proposition of a Project Management Office (PMO).
Ability to work with Project Managers, business units, and SMEs in order to maintain and monitor overall project plans, timelines, scope, budget, work plans, risk & mitigation, hurdles and solutions.
Proficiency using standard business software tools, such as MS Office, Lotus Notes, Visio, Acrobat, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Risk Management Professional Certification (PMI-RMP)
Healthcare Industry experience is a plus but not required
Experience training/mentoring junior staff.
