At the express request of one of our largest Multi-National Clients based in the Irish Market we are actively looking to fill an urgent requirement within their Dublin Office. The ideal candidate will be joining a fast growing and dynamic company as part of the Network and Telecommunications team. The successful candidate will be interested in learning and supporting cutting edge networking and telecommunications technologies used to enable a diverse global user community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support of the EMEA region’s network and voice environments (including firewalls, vpn, switches, routers, and VoIP telephony infrastructure)
  • Providing after hours, on-call and escalation support of 24×7 networking and voice environment, including system outages and incident response
  • Managing trouble ticket response and resolution, including working with end users.
  • Troubleshooting physical, data, and network layer issues for client and server machines.
  • Planning and performing required Cisco authorized security and server patching of the voice and network environment, including IOS patching.
  • Server maintenance and troubleshooting, including those supporting network and VoIP technologies
  • Deployment of IP phones
  • Using monitoring tools to gauge overall health of network systems and services such as Blackberry Enterprise Server, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, Cisco WebEx and WebEx Connect, etc.
  • Participating in worldwide VoIP architecture design, growth discussions and initiatives
  • Managing vendor relationships to optimize support processes

Requirements:

  • CCNP, with 5 years hands on experience supporting a Cisco networking and/or VoIP environment,
  • Ability to design enterprise network architectures that include switching, routing, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, LAN/WAN/WLAN, TCP/IP and Cisco IOS’s QoS features
  • Experience deploying and maintaining IPSEC and SSL VPNs, GRE tunnels, etc.
  • Experience with Cisco Unity, Call Unified Communications Manager, and VoIP integration with a MS Exchange/Sharepoint environment
  • Knowledge of VoIP signaling protocols and SIP initiatives and voice codec optimization/implementation
