Process owner Software Development

The Process Owner for the Software Development Process is accountable for the Software Development process, and is the BSO for all the tools that support this process.
The Process Owner is responsible for both the process design and the process management.

Tasks:

Define the process and the process roles, in close collaboration with the different stakeholders:

o Define general guidelines, templates and standards,
o Define strategy and roadmap for Software Development Processes, Methods and Tool
o Ensure the process is correctly and sufficiently documented, including the interactions with any other processes (Release Management, Rainbow process methodology, Application Portfolio Management)
o Identify and measure the Key Performance Indicators for this process. Create an action plan in case of target deviations.

Identify continual improvement actions:

o Define and regularly review tool roadmap to ensure the most optimal tools are part of the standard tool selection, and to ensure the entire Software Development Lifecycle is covered.
o Follow up development tools and technology evolution, to check for possible new opportunities of improvements
o Trigger improvement actions or projects following the defined roadmap
o Advocate the process throughout the organization, ensuring the process is executed and followed appropriately
o Providing guidance and advise for delivery teams and business on process and tool use
o Preparing and coordinate migration tracks to ensure standard software development is used
o Managing process exceptions
o Act as BSO for the tools supporting the process
o Project participation to define the business requirements of the involved tools,
o execute testing
o communicate to end-user community

Skills:

Analytical, assertive, solution-oriented person, with a process-oriented mind set
Team player
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Advanced knowledge of English and Dutch or French
Able to work in an autonomous way: able to assess workload, plan and organize your work and set the correct priorities
Profound knowledge of application life cycle management, software development life cycle and business process modelling frameworks
ITIL Foundation is recommended, other ITIL certificates are a bonus
Good knowledge of development, build and deployments tools (Clearcase, Quality Center, Sonar, Appscan, Jenkins )
