Job Description
Our client is seeking a candidate who is an experienced web application developer. The candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter who has demonstrated successful experience architecting, implementing and supporting enterprise mapping solutions. The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, and should be team oriented, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Work with Business Partners and other IT development groups to define and formalize requests for new maps or services
- Assist in architecting solutions when requests for new maps or services fall outside of current footprint
- Lead small development efforts following the Software Development Life Cycle
- Design, construct and implement new mapping solutions
- Support existing and new maps and services
Required Experience and Skills
5+ years of application development using:
- Javascript including DOJO, JQUERY and JSON
- HTML
- CSS
- AJAX
Exposure to:
- ArcGIS API for JavaScript
- Esri ArcGIS Desktop and Server
- C#.NET
- WCF
Preferred Experience and Skills
- SQL stored procedures and functions
- Database modelling
- Oracle Spatial
- HTML5
- Mobile application development (Android and/or IOS)
- Layer7
