Description
This is a long term contract opportunity at a top investment bank in Jersey City.The role is for a Technical Business Analyst who has experience with implementing a Data Quality Dashboard.
The Business Analyst will:
Requirements Gathering
- Set up meetings with business teams to review business requirements documents
- Ensure business requirements documents provided by business team meet functional design standards
- Create detailed functional requirements documents as a basis for the rollout of the Data Quality platform
- Review functional requirements with business stake holders and development teams
- Obtain sign off from business and IT owners on all requirements documents
Implementation and Design
- Work with development teams to assist in design of platform per functional design requirements
- Ability to test platform rollout to ensure design is per functional and business requirements
- Good understanding of SQL Server and relational databases to assist in design implementation
- Execute data validation, data integrity, data profiling, data auditing, and data gap analyzes Implement data cleansing and data improvement initiatives
- Design and develop processes to validate new data and changes in processes Design and implement data quality monitoring reports, alerts, processes and governance
- Document existing and potential data structures and data flow processes
Tracking
- Reporting status on a weekly basis with all open issues on requirements analysis
- Tracking all open issues on testing of implementation of data quality platform
- Raising issues to management that put project plan at risk
Person Requirements
Basic skills
- Works well with people and is an excellent communicator
- Provides clear and concise documentation
- Good understanding of SQL Server and relational databases
- Data analytical skills
- Exposure to compliance systems (good to have)
- Manages time well
- Understand of a project lifecycle
- Ability to take ownership of tasks assigned
- Experience of data manipulation tools and analysis techniques
- Strong business communication skills
