EIA Consultant

Our client is looking for someone who is efficient, highly organised and who has demonstratable EIA experience across a range of areas such as infrastructure, commercial, residential and energy sector developments. With offices across the UK this position offers the chance to work in Manchester, London, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of own discipline and environmental legislation associated with area of work. Recommends best choice approach with well-defined arguments or reasons; identifies pros and cons of possible solutions.
  • Sets development objectives over short, medium and long term; sets challenging objectives.
  • Manage larger and more complex projects; minimise scope creep.
  • Provide support to others on reporting structure in relation to client requirements.
  • Demonstrates good attention to detail and awareness of the key business management systems. Understands and delivers to role and responsibilities within management system.
  • Provides leadership to team on business risks attached to project. Balances cost, time and quality requirements of a project.
  • Has intermediate knowledge of contract management and clear understanding of implications for project management.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage costs and external expenditure on projects. Understands need for client approval for additional costs.
  • Provides leadership on project delivery and management.
  • Inputting to and supporting the business development strategy.
  • Attends networking events. Develops client and intermediary network.
  • Keeps in touch with new contacts. Actively follows up on client contact/meetings. Introduces others.
  • Working with senior colleagues to understand client needs and ensure bids meet these.


Requirements
  • Appropriate degree (eg. MSc)
  • Membership of a professional body such as IEMA.
  • Grounded and practical knowledge and understanding of EIA guidelines, regulations and practices.
  • You will be someone who can communicate effectively and build sustainable relationships with clients, staff and the public
