Description
This major player in the Dublin banking scene is looking for an IT Project Manager in the payments space. The IT Project Manager will be part of an exciting and growing team with a strong possibility for long term contract extensions. This global bank has over 2000 contract and permanent staff and is located in the heart of the City
* City Centre location. Easily accessible via public transport
* 6 month Contract role initially
* Opportunity to influence exciting IT Finance projects
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the project charter, communications, work plan/schedule, budget and other project documentation in line with department standards, including maintenance of appropriate audit trails.
- Engagement and provisioning of resources and tracking against plan.
- Managing the project scope, schedule and budget and reporting to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Oversee the vendor efforts on the design, development and implementation of the system and will coordinate with IT and business unit staff as needed.
- Provide overall direction to the vendor on the design, development, implementation and delivery of the system.
Key Skills
Knowledge of the following is a MUST:
Previous business & technical project management (minimum of 5 years' experience)
Strong understanding of a UK financial organisation
Strong understanding of UK financial sector
Expereince and understanding of Payments and/or Trade
Large company employment background
Previous experience of a Matrix management structures
Able to work with multiple stakeholders (internal & external) and facilitate collaboration
