Description
Primary Responsibilities:- Perform dimensional and other measurements for First Article inspections of machined and metal parts in tolerances down to and below 0.001".
- The inspector must be skilled with the use of CMMs and visual dimensioning systems.
- Also need to use other tools such as air gauges, force gauges, surface finish gauges as well as, of course, micrometers and calipers.
- Some work may need to be performed in a class 8 clean room.
- Must be skilled in reading drawings.
- Working hours are normal business (8AM to 5PM) though flexibility to work into the evening at times is a plus if schedule conflicts over the availability of the CMM become a problem.
- Someone who can work independently without a lot of training and guidance.
