IP Security Engineer Level 2 - Madrid /Spain

IP Security Engineer is urgently needed on contract basis for our client, a prestigious international
telecommunication company, in Madrid, Spain.

Responsibilities:
 Ensure the network equipments operate effectively on a day to day basis
 Responsible for the 2nd line incidents and problems resolution in the infrastructure domain
 Responsibility for day to day operational activities such as route configuration, Firewall configuration etc.
 Proactively monitor network systems to prevent failure
 Identify single points of failure and recovery plans
 Support the configuration and set­up of  new network equipments
 Suggest and make improvements to the network operating environment for performance improvements

Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in a Telecommunication/IT/Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematical discipline or
relevant skills or equivalent professional experience
 1­3 years hands­on experience as an Network Engineer having knowledge of network device such as
Cisco/Juniper/Huawei Router/switch/Firewall, at least some of them
 1­3 years hands­on experience as an Network Engineer having knowledge of network device of
F5/checkpoint etc, at least some of them.
 Good knowledge of TCP/IP
 Good Shell Scripting programming
 2nd line IT support experience, and previous experience in 1st line would be a plus
 Understanding of hardware/software integration issues and problem resolution
 Urge for digging deep to solve problems while keeping the systems running smoothly
 Incident and Problem Management skills: confident in analysing and solving problems of the network,
hardware and software components, incident trend and root cause analysis
 Capacity to identify the risks / single point of failures in the Network problem and to mitigate them
 Able to provide performance tuning and capacity forecasting
 Good in writing documents, manuals, reports and summaries in English
 Fluency in English is mandatory, and Spanish language skills is a plus
 Ability to interact with diverse customers in a multi­cultural environment
 Strong problem solving skills, quick learner and self­motivated team player
Preferred qualifications:
 Experience and certified with Cisco/Juniper is preferred
 ITIL V3 Foundation certification is a plus
