Progressive Global Energy has been tasked with sourcing an experienced Buyer for a leading international manufacturing company. The focus will be on purchasing and expediting of parts using the company's international reputation to leverage the most cost effective practices. The Purchaser will partner closely with engineering to be proactive in resourcing and fully understanding the company's needs.
Below is a list of the qualifications the successful candidate must have:
-A Bachelor's degree (B. S.) preferred
-A minimum of 2 years related buyer experience
-Strong written and oral communication
-Self-motivated, problem solving abilities, continuous improvement and decision making skills
Below is a list of key experience/knowledge the successful candidate must have:
-Come from a manufacturing background
-Negotiated contracts and understand why the company has the best price
-Track record of working directly with engineers to understand their needs
-Idea and mindset that the company's money is their own money.
