- Field Sales Executive -UK Wide - Big Data/ Hadoop

Our Client is looking for a Field Sales Executive to be based in the UK and to work for a well-funded start-up backed by Tier 1 VCs. They are currently seeking a dynamic candidate who thrives on networking, generating interest and qualifying leads and sell a complex solution to join their team.

This market leading technology has a Big Data analytics platform built natively on top of Hadoop. While there are lots of BI tools that analyze relational data, our client provides any business user with data integration, analysis and visualization functionality across any data type, size and source. They are growing extremely fast and their product has shipped for over two years with wide adoption across worldwide Fortune 1000, data-driven companies.

Position Overview:
  • A team of lead generators will contact clients and arrange meetings for you to go in and close business with potential prospects.
  • Drive a field sales plan, meet or exceed monthly and annual targets and increase revenue within your territory.
  • Attend sales demonstration appointments with qualified prospects.
  • Manage the sales cycle from beginning to end.
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects
  • Relay information back to lead generators so that they can accurately capture and complete information in Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
  • Duties and projects as assigned


Experience and Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience selling enterprise software solutions in a field sales position.
  • Strong desire to hit targets and progress into a senior field sales role or Sales Management position.
  • Motivation to learn and drive to succeed are critical.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise level IT infrastructure is essential
  • Ability to pick up and absorb technical information quickly
  • Results driven
  • Experience with solution selling in the technology industry.
  • Ability to interact and align solution with overall business strategy for customers in a range of roles from technical champions to C-level business buyers
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise level IT infrastructure and the ability to position complex software products to IT customers
  • Success as 'hunter' and 'closer' for enterprise software
  • Literate, communicative, client-friendly, and flexible
  • Ideal candidate has been a successful sales representative (solution selling) selling technology products and is looking for a an opportunity in an entrepreneurial, unstructured, small company environment


Salary Requirements:

£60K to £65K basic salary DOE

£100K to £120K realistic OTE

Company car allowance + Usual Benefits
