MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Measure, monitor, chart, report and analyze product and process performance
  • Measure and monitor inventory.
  • Supports the efforts of the Technical Service Team through data collection and analysis.
  • Supports the efforts to optimize the utilization of products, providing additional value to the customer, and for complaint investigation, analysis, and problem resolution through coatings field analysis.
  • Contributes to Product Design Reviews, as required, to achieve product introduction goals
  • Participates within the site service team safety program.
  • Supports customer and internal project schedule compliance through coatings field analysis activities.
  • Support launch activities through coatings field analysis
  • Provide information/data to support Lab Work Requests to meet account needs.
  • Support Problem Resolution Activities through coatings field analysis.
  • Assists with color audit reviews through coatings field analysis.
  • Assists improvement efforts by providing coatings field analysis to effectively raise our customers performance.
  • Assists in the auditing, improvement, correction of key product processes that are designed to deliver/determine/impact final product performance and customer enthusiasm through coatings field analysis.
  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and customer requirements to initiatives.
  • Comply with Quality Systems and customer quality standards.
  • This position is Second Shift
SKILLS:

Understanding of customer labor policies
  • Business IT Tools (MS Office, Lotus Notes, MS Project)
  • Technical Troubleshooting.
  • Laboratory Test Methods.
  • Quality Systems compliance.
  • Analytical Instrumentation
  • Physical Property Testing Equipment
  • A Bachelors Degree in Technical fields such as Chemistry or Engineering with approximately 2 years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma with equivalent technical training and/or five years relevant experience.
  • Must be experienced in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with quality systems concepts
  • Must be available to work rotating shifts, weekends (when necessary), able to travel on a limited basis and must be physically capable of working on feet for extensive periods of time.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Manufacturing Environment Experience
  • Computer Skills: Lotus Notes, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Basic Problem Solving
  • Root Cause Analysis ability
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills

SPECIAL SKILLS DESIRED:
  • Paint Application Knowledge/Experience. Application Methods and Techniques
  • Defect Recognition, Analysis and Identification
  • Understanding of quality systems and concepts
  • SAP Knowledge/Experience (a plus)
