Description
My client, a large consultancy, is looking for a UNIX Consultant immediately, for a 3 month opportunity in Brussels, Belgium.
The ideal candidate will have strong RHEL 4, 5, 6, Linux knowledge equivalent to RHCSA or RHCSE, HP/Fujistsu/IBM/Dell HArdware, Red HAT/Debian/Ubuntu Linux OS, Parallells Virtuozo and VMware.
The ideal candidate will also have strong experience in Servers stating, provisioning and Post install (RHEL 5 & RHEL 6), Working with Various projects and co-ordination with project managers for deployment, Installing and configuring multipath- with SAN, and troubleshooting, Performance tuning of server in order to tune memory, cpu, load average, Server(s) patching using RHN, Managing Puppet server-2.7.23, class and groups and dashboard, MII - Bonding configuration and troubleshooting (network failover), Hardware error troubleshooting and technical spoc towards Vendor, Configuring and managing System back-ups and recovery for Servers, and spoc for the same, Settingup and managing MySQL-5.0.95 Database (master and slave), Migration from physical server to virtual, and vice versa.(RHEL 5 to 6 and RHEL 6 upgrade), Connectivity sheet preparation, co-ordination with DC and DNS and Firewall issue troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will also have Strong Communication and Leadership Skills, Ability to Manage and Organise a team of technical staff, Interpersonal skills, Strong Analytical and Quantitative skills, Good team member, Innovative and able to take new technical initiaitves, Good troubleshooting & Problem solving skills, Should have strong analytical skills, Ready to work in shifts, including late evening shifts and weekend shifts as required and Knowledge of typical processes and best practices ITIL or equivalent is an asset.
