Description
The Q.A Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality is imposed by manual testing and automation (where possible) on all aspects of the development life cycle for end to end delivery of software solutions
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent project management, communication, people management, decision making, interpersonal skills and personal intuition alongside the ability to add value at all stages of the project through a strong background knowledge of software testing and quality assurance processes.
Key Experience and Attributes:
- 3+ years' experience in a technical software testing role with proven experience of managing test activities on high profile deliveries with aggressive deadlines.
- 1+ years hands on Scripting experience (cucumber ruby, selenium, Java etc)
- 2+ years experience in Agile development environment. (XP & Scrum)
- Excellent technical knowledge/experience of automation tools and practices.
- Experience and detailed knowledge of XP continuous build environments set up and support.
- Granulise Epics and User stories to form E2E Test Cases
- Execute E2E Manual Test cases and publish E2E coverage/summary Test reports
- Excellent communication skills - comfortable with communicating and influencing at all levels of the organisation including senior management.
- Able to work at a high level of effectiveness with minimal management supervision.
- Able to make compelling arguments to staff at all levels to initiate change in procedures
- Success driven, self motivated, enthusiastic and strong individual with the ability to instil these qualities in others, thus fostering a high performance team culture.
- Proficient in use of industry standard Development process software tools
- ISEB Testing Qualified
