A Software Equipment Engineer is required by a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. The successful candidate will have a chance to work in the Development & Engineering Department, with state of the art technology and work alongside world-class engineers.


Job Description
Technical support to local service organisation in the field of software, software architecture, user interface, LINUX, networking, Fab automation, application software etc. as well as testing and initialising solutions for any found problems.
Setting up specifications from a software support point of view and giving feedback to the development projects based on experiences in the field.
Takes care of regular updating and extending own and local Field Service Engineer knowledge so every problem can be handled from in depth product knowledge.
Introduces new software releases in the field and takes care of accompanying procedures, manuals and training.
Job content during the product life cycle:
• Design for availability
• Represent the operational sector in the co-design phase
• Make sure the operational requirements are implemented in the co-design
• Review technical documentation of the multidisciplinary development team
• Definition of documentation, spare parts and tooling for the global service organisation.
• Write service documentation,
• Define spare parts and tooling for the computer systems.
• Be the knowledge link between development and the operational sectors
• New product introduction towards field organisation
• Be the expert in analysis of complex problems on-site
• Knowledge transfer to local service organisations
• Feedback structural improvements towards development team
• Structural improvements
• Leading role in minimising operational costs for volume products
• Analyse global product performance and define requirements for co-design improvement

Job Requirements
BSc /MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Science or any other technical science.
Must have experience in a technical high-tech environment.

Personal skills
Team player with excellent communication and writing skills in English. Customer focus, analytical skills, flexible attitude and commitment are keys for this role.
