Our client is a high end, niche designer and manufacturer of luxury telecommunication devices. They are currently hiring for a senior Imaging Specialist to join their team in the UK, preferably as a permanent member of staff. The successful candidate will be part of an exclusive company offering services and products to the world’s elite. Prior telecommunication, mobile and imaging experience is a necessity, as is excellent communication skills and an ability to work closely with all team members.Purpose of the Job:
* Management and delivery of a world class imaging user experience in all products working with internal and external partners and engineering teams
* Identification of suitable partners based on business requirements and specifications, full technical assessment and wide market understanding of imaging solutions
* Technical imaging support in portfolio planning, component selection, product conception and development
* Programme management and daily partner co-ordination, with a real focus on quality of captured images
* Supporting Sourcing with the relationship management of the chosen suppliers to maximise the value to customers
* Long term partner technical management and roadmap alignment
* Help develop plans, measures effectiveness and delivers great imaging solutions
* Responsibility for successful & quality execution of the imaging user experience in all products
* Leadership for both all engineering teams to keep the schedule and agreed budget for the imaging development
* The role reports regularly to the individual program teams on performance of the imaging solution on each of their products
Skills required:
* Expertise needed in more than one technical functional area namely software, hardware, integration, imaging
* You should have a broad perspective with both technical, customer and business understanding
* Good understanding of Android smartphone camera SW architecture from ISP/driver level up to camera application level
* Awareness of camera software tool landscape and development of effective camera quality methods
* Around 10+ years relevant experience in imaging based roles
* Excellent understanding of imaging systems functionality and the technical landscape of imaging systems/environment
* Ability to provide a product roadmap, product imaging specification, supplier selection guidelines and comment on competitor products imaging performance
* You should be highly independent, outward looking and motivated
* Can develop and implement complex and innovative solutions to problems through other people
* Highly team based individual, who is able to work effectively and efficiently with Partners, Product Management, Ops, R&D and Sales and Marketing
This is an integral position for this client and the successful Imaging Specialist will help create the next in a long line of successful products.
