Description
My client, a large investment bank based in downtown Manhattan, are seeking a senior product controller (with management experience), for an initial 6 month contract. The role is definitively with a view to a permanent position. The client is paying $85 per hour, although they may be flexible depending on experience.Main Duties:
* This role is part of S&A - Product Control. Product control covers Transaction accounting / Fincon. S&A are responsible for :
* Defining target architecture (Functional, Application, Data and business process)
* Defining roadmap to target architecture along with interim architectures
* Define principles, high level requirements and proposed solutions related to core Product Control functions - For example P&L reporting, MAFA reconciliations, P&L production, Accounting schema definition, Inter-co reconciliations, FX sell down etc.
* Run design authorities, and ensure appropriate sign-offs from all areas of GFS
* Prioritise business requirements for GT build, and provide detailed day to day guidance to GT during requirement definition phase
*Provide review and sign-off of business requirement documents generated by GT - Ensuring appropriate level of GFS sign-off through design authorities
*Defining and agreeing GFS roles and responsibilities as they relate to programmes that fall within the Product Control space
*Provide a first point of contact for project requests coming from outside of GFS - Prioritising these requests and agreeing GFS level of involvement (through appropriate GFS governance forum)
