2nd, 3rd line Support, Infrastructure, Windows Server, Firewall, ITIL, MCSE, CCNA, CiscoWe are urgently seeking a Service Desk 2nd / 3rd Line Support to work in Cambridge.
The main responsibility of the role is to provide IT Infrastructure support in the Cambridge office.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Administrating and supporting the infrastructure systems for a user base of 300 based in Cambridge, Denmark and France.
o Providing local and remote support for our client's offices
o Windows server, switch and Firewall administration
o Installation and configuration of new equipment
o Moves, additions and changes of IT equipment
o Creating and maintaining accurate documentation
o Updating the Service Desk system
o Understanding of ITIL best practices.
DIMENSIONS:
Number of users in the region of 300 across multiple locations
EDUCATION:
Degree (BSC Hons) or equivalent experience
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
o Professional qualifications such as MCSE and CCNA
o Excellent customer service & troubleshooting skills
o Good written and verbal communications
o Analytical, methodical and accurate working practices
o Creates innovative solutions to business problems
o Able to operate without direct supervision
o Good reporting and document writing skills
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3-5 years in the following:
o Supporting Windows in a 2nd/3rd line role
o Supporting Microsoft Exchange Server
o Supporting Cisco Networking (Access/Core switches in LAN) in a 2nd/3rd line role
o Supporting major Firewall/Internet Proxy/VPN/IP telephony
HOURS OF WORK:
37.5 hours per week. Some weekend and evening work may be required for emergencies and projects. Some travel may be required.
