Description
As Head of Technical you will be the subject matter expert across five principal areas:- Provide management, leadership and direction for all requirements of Technical performance and food safety compliance, maintain industry best practice standards and provide a comprehensive technical and quality assurance support service to manufacturing and retail operations
- Provide and maintain management systems, documentation and controls that assure product of the highest quality and ensure full compliance at all times with BRC standards for food safety.
- Manage and maintain departmental cost control and reporting.
- Lead and develop a pro-active problem solving attitude to the workplace that engages employees.
- Support project improvement activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and promote a quality assured culture through all levels of the organization supported by employee engagement in auditing, training and development of operating procedures that meet requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Provide a clear strategy for technical within the organization.
- Manage all quality and technical requirements to ensure all the sites comply with BRC grade A requirements.
- Maintain the site HACCP to ensure product safety and quality of all products.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Develop peer to peer relationships with all customers to support business development.
- Maintain an effective internal audit program for all requirements of food safety due diligence including BRC compliance, Good Manufacturing Practice and HACCP review.The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as working as a Technical Manager in the dairy industry
- Microbiology experience
- Able to fit in with the hard working and fast paced industry
