Virtualisation Consultant - 6-9 Month Contract - Amsterdam - Rates Negotiable
My client is seeking a Virtualisation Consultant to join their professional services team to be responsible for technical implementation and project services to customers within their business.
Working at senior technical level, you will have the responsibility for delivering high-level infrastructure deployments and migrations to enterprise sized customers primarily relating to VMware technologies.
Role is working on various transformation and implementation projects, interfacing with major vendors and clients, providing solutions to customers' requirements as well as providing strong documentation support and overall support to the wider team
Additionally there is specific focus on making the role commercially successful for the business by ensuring a high level of chargeable time spent on the delivery and management of projects and consultancy engagements.
Essential Experience
-VCP Certified and/or equivalent experience
-Strong VMware experience and related technologies
-Demonstrable experience of working on transformation and implementation projects
-Appreciation of networking concepts and the ability to diagnose issues from a server perspective and liaise with the network engineering team to progress to resolution.
-Strong server and SAN implementation experience
-A good understanding of customer requirements in order to provide innovative solutions with excellent documentation support experience
-Good customer facing skills with the ability to interface with major vendors and clients.
-Good product evaluation and skills development experience
-Ideally Citrix and/or Microsoft certification/experience as well
-Ideally VMware certified Professional 5 Datacentre and Desktop

The role requires dynamic problem solving ability, enthusiasm, a desire to constantly improve the customer experience and the ability to strongly integrate into both the Projects team and related client site account teams.
A true diagnostician who can is a lateral thinker and can demonstrate scenarios where he/she has solved complex problems
Able to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent written communication skills, including production of concise and clear technical and user documentation.
