Sr. Software Engineer
Skills: Ruby, Javascript, MySQL, AGILE and TDD experience
Summary:
3-6 month contract with opportunity to go perm in MIDTOWN! Our client is the leading Social Engagement Advertising, pure-play media, and technology company focused on delivering rapid and scalable media and technology solutions that make it easy for brands to deliver break-through results in social networks.
Responsibilities
- Develop improvements to Legacy applications
- Develop new applications
- Assist with training of other team members
- Assist with technical interview of new team members
- Support development methodology and practices of the team
Qualifications
- 7+ years of full time software engineering experience
- 3+ years of regular Ruby development (Rails preferred)
- 5+ years of regular Javascript development (jQuery, Backbone preferred)
- 5+ years application development with MySQL
- 3+ years Agile experience (SCRUM preferred)
- 3+ years Test Driven Development experience
- Git source control
- Cloud infrastructure providers including Heroku, AWS, and EngineYard
- Sidekiq or Resque
- Postgres
- Redis
- Desired Experience:
- Rspec and Capybara
- Chef
- vim
- Facebook API
