Main Purpose of the Job:The Solution Architect will be responsible for managing customer requirements, proposing solutions utilising client and 3rd party products and creating high level designs. The primary focus is to understand customer's needs, and create outstanding business value through cost effective and innovative solutions.
The Solution Architect will be responsible for defining the deployment strategy for each customer, taking into account customer requirements, and international working practices and regulations. The primary focus will be on the deployment of small cells with integrated backhaul, and creating innovative & disruptive processes.
The Solutions Architect will provide a technical interface to the customer, working closely with the account manager to maintain a consistent relationship towards the customer. The Solution Architect will maintain a leadership role with respect technical resources towards the customer, as well as third party suppliers and subcontractors. This will entail a high level of interaction with Product Management teams, as well as Customer, Technical, Marketing & Business Development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as a Radio and IP Networking specialist, understand network infrastructure and system characteristics, have vision of customer needs and be able to identify creative solutions.
Specify, design and maintain a technical solution in co-operation with the customer.
Create innovative deployment strategy to minimise operator OPEX based on characteristics of small cells portfolio.
Collate product updates from the Product Management teams, and participate in customer meetings to provide customer specific product/solution updates to the customer.
Coordinate among different teams including technical solutions, business development, marketing, and service delivery, to find/create solutions based on customer requirements
Interact with customer to identify add-on sales opportunities, which creates sustainable value and growth to customers
Create radio, network, transport & security design and deployment guidelines for key customers.
Create deployment guidelines for key customers.
Follow-up the delivered products and solutions on an agreed regular basis with the customer to keep informed about the life cycle evolvement of the implemented customer solution.
Work with cross-functional teams including Region Operation Directors, Project Managers, and Service Leads for solution implementations
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 10 years experience working with RAN and/or IP Networking products and solutions, and a minimum
of 15 years experience in Telecoms.
Minimum of 5 years experience working with small cell products and solutions.
A BS/MS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Specialist knowledge of LTE networks, RAN/RF features, IP security, IP transport, Roadmap & 3GPP standards.
CCNA certified.
Ability to analyse and assess complex system designs, and determine end-to-end feature behaviour.
Ability to lead presentations of initiatives/deliverables to customers, and communicate technical information to executives.
Ability to meet tight deadlines, and work in stressful situations.
Ability to analyse and assess network architecture requirements, and determine optimal cost-effective solutions
Ability to present complex arguments in a clear and concise way, present with a confident and knowledgeable style, and be able to handle difficult customer questions.
Ability to develop and maintain customer and partner relationships
Good written and spoken English.
