A great opportunity for talented web developers has become available at a highly reputable software development company in Dublin on a 6 month initial daily rate contract. They are looking for independent problem-solving developers with strong technical, interpersonal and collaborative skills to join our team. The successful web developers will have the opportunity to design and implement code and data interfaces that will be used for business critical applications.Duties
· Actively participate in design discussions, code reviews and code analysis
· Have the ability to quickly develop and deliver clean, fast and high quality object oriented code and user interfaces using a variety of current mobile technologies and front-end languages.
· Possess excellent problem solving and debugging skills to rapidly identify and fix defects
· Identify, implement and manage code libraries that minimize repetitive code and improve application design
· Understand software development architectures including n-tier and MVC
· Embrace Agile/Scrum methodologies and development best practices
Required Skills:
· 2+ years of object-oriented development experience in a related role with more than one of the following: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Objective-C, Java, JQuery, Dojo, AJAX, XML/JSON
· Experience integrating with JavaScript with multi-tier java based applications
· Experience using standard Java IDEs, SVN and/or Git code repositories
· Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
· A degree in Computer Science
· Knowledge or experience with Backbone.js, Node.js, AngularJS, Bootstrap, other JS libraries
· User Experience design knowledge (i.e.: best practices, creating mock-ups/wireframes)
