We are currently seeking a Electrical Technician for a 3 months contract in Orlando, FL
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To wire equipment to NEC codes, and assemble pneumatics with quality workmanship, for machines built to high standards on the premises.
Skills:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED
Must have understanding knowledge of NEC codes, knowledge of AC/DC electricity, able to wire from schematics, troubleshoot hardwire, construct machinery panels. Must be able to run flexible and ridged conduit throughout machine, pull, mark, and terminate wire neatly, mount panels, cabinets, transformers, air valves, and run air lines. The individual must have a journey men's license or equivalent. They must also pass an entrance electrical test. Before hiringing on full time, the individual must pass an extensive electrical TPC modual test.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work safely, follow all safety practices
Layout panels and mount components (from panel layout).
Mount boxes, conduit, transformers by using drills and taps.
Size and mark wire (following schematic drawings).
Assemble small sub-assemblies for electrical or mechanical.
Mount air components and run pneumatic lines.
Layout electrical and air components on a multi-line systems.
Troubleshoot electrical and/or pneumatic problems on equipment.
Assist others in the layout of electrical and/or pneumatic components.
Assist electrical engineering writing and troubleshooting basic programs, as needed.
Help field service as needed on installations and service calls.
Promptness, follow work schedule.
Cleanup of work area and shop as needed or directed.
