Description
Seeking a Java developer who will develop a scientific software application to perform data curation activities and to manage sample inventories.Responsibilities:
- Analyzes specifications, designs logic, writes code, customizes products, tests, debugs and documents software applications.
- Installs and configures application software, both off-the-shelf and developed in-house.
- Coordinates with other technical teams to ensure compatibility with other modules and applications.
- Consults with users and stakeholders to ensure that requirements are met.
- Enforces change management policies.
- Stays abreast and trained in advances in their specific fields.
- Familiar with software development life cycle and configuration management.
SKILLS:
Must have at least 7 years of advanced experience with Java and Oracle. Must have solid Java programming skills.
Additional required skills include: Java Swing, JPA, Oracle database, ANT, Subversion, NetBeans/Eclipse.
