My client is looking for a talented Junior Production Pipeline Developer to join its Software Development team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and support of an in-house movie production pipeline management software. This includes assets and production management software applications and their databases, automation scripts as well as other software tools allowing artists to work better and more efficiently.
The production pipeline management software is the key component on which artists rely to deliver their day-to-day work. The candidate will leverage the currently in place test-driven development framework to ensure reliability while allowing continuous integration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain the production pipeline management software which is integrated in Autodesk Maya, including bug fixing, automated testing and additional UI development
* Support the ongoing production by assisting artists when using the pipeline software
* Enrich the features set by adding minor enhancements to the code base while keeping the current test suite and documentation up-to-date
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
* 1 year of experience in software development
* Strong knowledge of Maya Python Scripting
* Good spoken and written English
* Experience with RCS software, preferably Git
* The ideal candidate is pragmatic, detail-oriented, organized and is able to work autonomously
PLUSES
* Experience with UI development, preferably Qt
* Experience with GNU/Linux or other UNIX system
* Experience in test driven development
* Experience in film or video game production
* Knowledge of French or Dutch
* Knowledge of Bash Scripting
