Description - Financial Analyst
8 - 5, M - F with some flexibility.
Manages and analyzes monetary resources and affairs within an organization. Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients. May also be responsible for conducting technical accounting research as needed. Prepares and maintains supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Updates and collects business unit reporting packages, helps prepare ad hoc financial reporting as necessary. Experience Level: BA in Finance or Accounting required plus minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience.
Duties:
Financial Reporting:
Financial Reporting to ITI PAC, FP&A and Accounting - 30%
Supporting budgets and forecasts - Working with projects on budget and forecast, entering Cognos, variance, trend and feasibility analysis, EIP input assistance. - 15%
Supporting business cases and PAC documents - Creation of new business cases and updating existing business cases, preparing documents for governing bodies such as CAC, ITI PAC, and Steering Committee. - 20%
Month end close and analysing variances. - Preparing accruals, researching invoices, working with projects to understand variance and future impact of variance. - 15%
Project support -, close documents, funding documents, working with vendors for payment, running queries such as RPM, Onelink reports, assisting with CAFs, etc. 15%
Ad hoc projects - eg Researching asset impairments, UAT for finance applications such as ITCM, etc. 5%
Requirements:
6+ years of direct relevant experience.
Proficiency with MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel including graphs, pivot tables and database management a must.
Able to deliver quality work on time, communicate effectively, prioritize and work well with the team. Problem solving skills and the ability to work under time constraints is needed to be successful.
