A Dutch speaking Electronics Architect with a focus on Computer Systems is required by a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products.Job Mission
In the position of designer you are a key technical contributor to a multidisciplinary team of designers who act on (sub-)system level. You take responsibility for the electronic design and maintenance of various computer systems electronics concepts and products (computers, computer racks & cabinets, processor boards, storage solutions, thin clients, network switches and cabling, displays, keyboards, trackballs) for new and existing products.
Job Description
As Electronics Architect, you will primarily act as the representative in a multidisciplinary design team, especially with colleagues from the software department.
Your main responsibilities for this position are:
Define, document and maintain requirements of various computer systems electronics products and infrastructure.
Participate in realisation of computer systems electronics products.
Define, document, and execute tests to ensure that electronic modules within the computer systems satisfy the requirements.
Contribute to Computer Systems roadmap and building-blocks. COTS solutions and using industry standards are highly preferred.
Work breakdown and planning for the various computer systems electronics products, adjusted with other stakeholders.
Manage outsourcing of computer systems electronics related modules.
Transfer knowledge to production and service engineers.
Solving problems during 1st product integration.
Support production and service as an expert (4th line support)
Analyze and solve reliability issues.
Job Requirements
• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experienced as Electronics Architect or Designer of computer related systems, preferably for application in a multidisciplinary system.
• Knowledge of and experience with definition and realisation of multi-processor computer systems, networks, and storage.
• Broad technical knowledge of computer hardware (Sun, PowerPC, x86 PC), operating systems (Solaris, VxWorks, Linux, Windows embedded), networks (ethernet, switched fabric), storage hardware, software development (C, scripting), real-time design;
• Excellent Dutch and English language skills both written and spoken;
• Preferably you will already have some previous experience working with big complex high tech companies
