Solutions Architect required in Castle Donington!

One of our prestigious client is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to work on a permanent basis in Castle Donington, Derbyshire.

As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Sales team; capturing and interpreting customer requirements in order to produce system design proposals, plus activities including: Customer Demonstrations, Scope of Works documentation, Quotations, Diagrams and other supporting material.

The successful candidate would be expected to travel up to 50% of their working time out of the UK, this could be two weeks per month depending on the level of sales activity. It is often the case that trips do not occupy a full working week but rather are of a two-day or three-day duration.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Regional Sales Manager to capture customer requirements.
  • Provide a conduit between Sales and the Product Units.
  • Present and demonstrate our clients products and solutions to potential customers.
  • Assess and capture customer operational workflows.
  • Engineering set-up and demonstration of Proof Of Concept (POC) systems.
  • Large involvement in the Bid Process, taking ownership of the bid from bid kick-off through to bid approval and submission.
  • Produce detailed responses to customer's ITT, RFP and RFI.
  • Prepare pricing quotations using Excel.
  • Prepare detailed Scope of Works using MS Word.
  • Prepare response to a line by line (compliance matrix).
  • Prepare system Diagrams using MS Visio.
  • Interface with the Product Units to gain and validate latest product information.
  • Other Sales and Pre-Sales duties.
  • Considerable travel involved at times.
