Excellent opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Software Developer in Derbyshire!One of our prestigious client is seeking a Graduate Software Developer to become an integral member of an experienced software development team in Castle Donington.
As a Graduate Software Developer you will design and implement pseudo real-time systems for automation of television and radio channels using our clients productions, assist in assuring the quality of existing products, communicate concepts and design intent using industry standard design practices.
Solutions are primarily built using Microsoft C#, SQL and optionally bespoke code.
The ideal candidate will meet the following competencies/qualifications:
- Experience in C# preferred but is not essential. A background in C or C++ also considered.
- Experience of XML required, XSLT and XPATH advantageous.
- Working knowledge of UML, Design Patterns required.
- Working knowledge of Code Analysis and Unit Testing tools advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Debugging Tools advantageous.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.
- Educated to 2:1 (projected or achieved) degree level in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of broadcast media, broadcast automation technologies an advantage.
