Chief Technology Officer - S Wales - £k

Computer Futures are currently seeking a senior individual to join a key client as their new Chief Technical Officer, based in the South Wales region.

  • Create a team that is viewed as an exemplar for the delivery of high quality services across the Civil Service and beyond


You will have the following skills to succeed in this role:
  • Demonstrable experience at a senior level of delivering similar or larger scale transformational change to business processes and legacy IT systems leading to cost savings and service improvements for customers.
  • Capable of evidencing the ability to effectively engage with technical staff, suppliers and stakeholders within a similar complex environment, to define the best approach to service design and implementation to achieve business/user objectives.
  • Experience of developing technology strategies and the delivery of associated large scale technical services, solutions, architectures and technologies.
  • Implementing legacy retirement or transition strategies while managing the ongoing delivery of technical services of a similar scale and complexity.
  • Use of agile project management techniques and working practices, open source, cloud platforms and digital services.
  • Leading an IT function of a similar size and defining and delivering improvements to internal processes to ITIL or equivalent standards.
  • Effectively managing relationships with and influencing senior stakeholders across a similar size organisation and producing clear and non-technical advice on complex issues.
