Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Downhole. Circa £55KProgressive Global Energy is currently working with a leading technology development company in the recruitment of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis within their office in the Bridge of Don.
My client is developing downhole pump concepts for various international clients. These concepts will need to go through full testing phases before being released to field trials.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
- leading new product development through design, prototype build, testing and field trials
- Use Solidworks to deliver engineering solutions in line with customer requirements
- Provide supervision and mentor the more junior members of the team. This will include checking of drawings and calculations.
- Develop testing documentation
Qualifications required:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar. A HND/HNC may be considered should you have gained extensive industry experience.
- Industry experience of working on downhole equipment.
- Familiar with material selection processes
- Experience with dynamic machines is an advantage.
