A leading name in Telecoms require a Multimedia Engineer who is a Video on Demand person with Polycom/Accordent/Multi Media Manager expert experience. The Multimedia Engineer works within a global team of Network and Voice architects and is responsible for product engineering and development of the Multimedia strategy.
The Engineer is a technical lead and subject matter expert for Multimedia technologies including Video on Demand, Desktop Video/Live Webcasting, Video Content Management and Content Distribution Systems and Digital Signage. The Engineer is a lead technical expert and liaises with other members of the Network Engineering team as well as the Service Delivery teams responsible for project delivery and support. Excellent knowledge of Video on Demand and Live Webcasting (particularly the Accordent/Polycom system), Strong knowledge of Cisco content distribution platforms (ECDS/ACNS), Experience with Cisco Digital Signage platforms highly desirable and experience with Video encoder platforms (particularly VBrick H.264 encoders) highly desirable.
The candidate can be based in either San Francisco, New Jersey or Chicago in the USA. 12 - 24 month contract+
