Position SummaryThe role will be responsible for the coordination and performance of operational and financial process audits, project reviews, risk management activities and other related assignments within the hiring Corporation and its subsidiaries. Particular emphasis of the role will be on the Off-shore businesses operating from our Trondheim, Stavanger and Aberdeen offices.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performance of Internal Audit/Compliance work.
- Performance of project review assignments to ensure that appropriate project methodologies and best practices are being applied.
- Assist with Internal Controls testing- this will involve understanding of internal control framework as applied to key business processes, controls and risks.
- Performance of Risk Management work including assisting with the execution of the Enterprise Risk Assessment process including operational and department risk assessments, Fraud Risk assessment and related audit plan. This will also involve fraud investigations.
Administrative:
- Based in Trondheim/ Aberdeen, reporting into Risk & Compliance Analyst in Glasgow.
- Some travel requirement- predominantly UK/Norway).
Requirements (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years' post-qualification work experience from Internal/External Auditing.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience with internal audit report preparation (English mandatory)
- Must be project oriented with ability to self-manage and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Shipping industry experience.
- SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) 404 Knowledge/exposure.
- Written and spoken Norwegian.
- Experience in public practice/ internal auditing, having exposure to many clients and many different processes.
