Design Specialist - Aberdeen. £35K - £45K.Progressive GE is currently working with a leading subsea company in the recruitment of a Design Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis at their office situated in Westhill - Aberdeen
You will work closely with the engineering team to create as well as modify engineering drawings of subsea equipment. These drawings will range from layout drawings, manufacture drawings, assembly drawings, stack up drawings, and schematics.
Alongside this you will be responsible for creating or revising the BOM as directed by your engineering supervisor. You will receive technical direction to ensure that all work fulfils the client's niche requirements and that all internal procedures have been adhered to.
Day to day activities will also include you checking drawings and work carried out by others, ensuring that all documents and drawings have been checked and have been raised for review and approval.
Essential skills required:
- Previous subsea experience gained with subsea trees, manifolds, flexible risers, control systems
- AutoCAd
- Inventor
Other required experience:
- Minimum of a HNC qualification in design as well as industry experience.
However should you possess extensive industry experience without holding a HNC qualification or above you may also be considered for this position.
