A Service Engineer is required by a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products.

Job Mission
Increase products and processes robustness with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and the co-operation within a Program or across Programs by:
• Analysing serviceability machine issues after first shipment by focusing on un-scheduled down interrupts at the customer site
• Analysing X-treme long down situations in the field and report on the results on a monthly basis to the product organisation
• Analysing underperforming systems in the field
• Specify and quantify serviceability system and process improvements to reach the final system performance
• Make sure that the serviceability improvement proposals are recognised and accepted by the cross-sector organisation

Job Description
As a Service Engineer you will contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the company by influencing processes and products availability enabling higher Customer productivity. Using your mix of technical, creative and interpersonal skills, you will represent the serviceability competence in theProduct development cycle. Main responsibilities:
• Analysing of serviceability field data
• Making business cases & handling prioritisation.
• Defining serviceability improvements and getting them accepted by the cross-sector organisation

Job Requirements
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in a technical area, such as Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Optics/Physics.
• Several years experience in a multidisciplinary technical environment.
• Affinity with Service activities and specifically diagnostics.
• Broad scope (software, mechanics, electronics, IT infrastructure).
• Capable of doing analysis on new design to define the critical serviceability areas that require improvements
• Familiar with Design processes.
• Knowledge about data structure and modelling.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: reporting infra-structure and applications or related tasks / Project Integration / technical interfaces & dependencies.
