SynergisIT, recognized by Staffing Industry Report as one of the fastest growing private IT staffing companies in the US, is seeking a UAT/Quality Assurance Lead (Agile) for a contract assignment for one of our client's in Cupertino, CA.

Our client is seeking someone who will work as an integral member of the implementation team along with the business owner, project manager, analysis & design, and development teams to ensure business applications satisfy the needs of the business. The lead will have a deep understanding of the business process and drivers for change. Ownership of our automated-regression process will be paramount, which will require experience in Ruby on Rails and Cucumber.

The Quality Assurance Lead will also strive to enhance the testing process and assist with standardizing Retail Systems' Agile testing. The QA Lead is expected to accurately assess and quantify the business and technical risks associated with the software and systems being tested as well as assess, plan and communicate test strategies and progress to multiple constituencies. This position requires an individual who can synthesize large amounts of complexity and pay attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with developing and optimizing our Agile testing methodology
Influences and directs project team/s to follow the defined procedures within Retail Systems
Prepare detailed schedules with target dates for deliverables, prioritizes and monitors activities
Provides assessment of product quality at key milestones to project leaders, QA and
management
Develops overall quality assurance strategy for the project and documents accordingly
Exhibits creativity in application testing, integrates ideas into testing process and educates the teams accordingly
Defines and documents test cases to exercise the product to reveal potential defects
Enters bugs into the Bug Tracking Database and tracks them through to resolution
Enforces defect management procedures within the project team
Isolates complex defects to probable components and communicates with the IS&T lead
Accurately diagnoses defects within a 24x7 mission critical environment
Recognizes when problems are caused by process deficiencies and takes corrective actions
Exhibits creativity in application testing, integrates ideas into daily testing and educates the teams accordingly

REQUIREMENT:

Minimum of 5 Years working directly with the Agile SDLC methodology
Ruby on Rails and Cucumber
Deep understanding of quality assurance and testing practices within the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Experience running large (20+ testers) user acceptance test projects for large scale system deployments and business process re-engineering initiatives
Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must.
Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools.
Knowledge of Internet and E-business processes, disciplines and standards.
Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.
Outstanding technical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
A high level of independence as demonstrated through clear problem solving skills and delivery of high quality work
Strong customer service focus, ability to interact with team members at all levels of the company
Flexibility to change course based on business needs and environmental conditions
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadline
