Description

An Optical Architect is required by a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. The successful candidate will have a chance to work in the Development & Engineering Department, with state of the art technology and work alongside world-class engineers.

Job Mission
Main purpose of the Optical Architect position is that scanners need to match the image that customers intend to reproduce on their wafers as closely as possible. The closer the image created by the scanner resembles the intended image, the better the scanner imaging performance.

You will have the expertise in how to design choices in scanner Hardware and Software and choices in the application, such as scanner settings and resist processes and influence imaging performance. You understand why and how imaging performance is important to our customers.

You will drive the simulations predicting behaviour of future scanners and use their outcome to recommend design choices. You will be closely involved in creating sensible and measurable Imaging Specifications. You will direct development of tests, diagnostics and analysis tools, enabling our client to verify, trouble-shoot and optimise scanner imaging performance.

You will be a technical leader in a group of people with similar competencies, working together to lift their know-how to new levels year-after-year, making sure to be prepared for challenges ahead. You will create roadmaps and competence management plans.

You will also be part of a project team, working to meet a shared goal against challenging constraints, making sure that the right technical choices are made.
