Procurement Coordinator - CR-10028

IMMEDIATE HIRE for a Data Center Procurement Coordinator!  This is a long term, contract position with the work able to be done remotely, however, individuals in the Sacramento, Orlando, and Charlotte  area are highly desired!  Supporting Global Data Center transformation projects and technical knowledge is highly preferred.

Our client is transforming their Data Centers by consolidating high-cost, end-of-life, or redundant data centers into strategic locations. The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the transactional procurement of goods and services as directed by Project and Program Managers accountable for the Data Center closure. This includes liaising with internal stakeholders, vendors, and  suppliers to ensure the procurement needs are addressed in a timely manner ensuring the client's global procurement processes and procedures are followed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare Statement of Work (SOW), Purchase Orders (PO), Letters of intent, and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Assist the Project and Program Manager with pricing and invoicing
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate all procurement activities in support of IT hardware and software requirements
  • Placed Purchase Orders for new and existing production materials.
  • Process contracts amendments, renewals/extensions and software licensing.
  • Vendor Management - Obtain product information including: price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Analyze price proposals, reports, and additional information to determine reasonable pricing.  Negotiate agreements and purchasing terms for efficient procurement of materials.
  • Manage all Purchase Order (PO) processes, end to end, from order placement to payment.  Ensure that agreed upon purchase deliverables, delivery time, quality and cost are met and corporate procurement Best Practices and processes are followed
  • Timely and responsive communication to internal customers and departments
  • Act as a resource of assigned commodity areas by providing support and information on procurement or goods and services to internal customers and suppliers
  • Support and assist Corporate Buyers and Supervisors as directed
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner and maintain effective relationships with internal customers and employees, suppliers, and service providers, while maintaining confidentiality
  • REQUIRED

    1.  1 to 3 years in a similar role.

    2.  3+ years' experience supporting Data Center transformation projects.

    3.  Experience working on projects with high demands and fast turnaround times.

    4.  Mastery of Microsoft Outlook and Office.

    5.  Ability to work with minimal supervision and cooperatively with others.

    6.  Knowledge of IT industries.

    7.  Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to changing priorities.

    8.  Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor's degree in a related field.
