Currently we are searching for IT Project Manager based in Vietnam (18months contract)My client is one of Asia’s premier IT Services providers which employs over 24,000 people world-wide.
The Distribution Management Project Manager role involves providing Project Management oversight and coordination in the delivery of a Distribution Management solution to replace the existing Swift+ application for distribution of products to retailers and wholesalers.
The role is responsible for all aspects of Project Management governance across the portfolio including, planning & scheduling, status reporting, business case development, maintenance of the registers (risks, issues, actions, and dependencies), preparation of Project Board presentations & and collating information for senior stakeholders enabling efficient decisions and approvals to be made by the appropriate governance body. The role will also involve assisting Business SMEs in the production of project artefacts and deliverables.
The candidate must have worked as an IT project manager and have a minimum of 5 years experience.
Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry experience with particular emphasis on Trade Marketing & Distribution processes and systems is highly desirable. A degree would be highly regarded.
Role & Responsibilities
• Preparation of project artefacts such as Business Case, Project Initiation Document, Change Requests as relevant
• Maintenance of project risks, issues and actions including proactively following up owners for review
• Maintenance of project schedule, plans and dependencies and reporting to Portfolio Delivery Manager by exception
• Manage third party vendor relationship and delivery schedule
• Coordination of Project Board meetings, presentation packs and pre-reading information
• Monitor adherence to the PRINCE2 Project Management methodology
• Coordination of status updates with Project Managers and worksteam Leaders
• Drafting and/or delivering presentations to senior stakeholders on all aspects of the Project
Skills & Attributes
• Sound knowledge of principles of project management
• 5+ years experience in the delivery of business related projects
• Experience in developing and creating business cases and financial plans
• Experience in using the PRINCE2 Project Management methodology
• Self-starter and takes initiative
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruction
• Highly organised
• Detailed project planning and scheduling using MS Project or similar tools
• Experience utilising project management tools and ability to provide high-level status reporting (both oral and written) to senior stakeholders
• Mature approach in following up requests with senior stakeholders
• Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry experience with particular emphasis on Trade Marketing & Distribution style projects is highly desirable.
