Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Be an Agile leader and SME
* Write test cases as requirements are identified and automate those test cases through development (Python, Ruby, C#, or Java)

* Act as senior member of QA team and transform the team into Agile and automation leaders

* Provides QA process improvements and recommendations to team manager

* Closely liaises with the developers

* Designs and plans testing conditions, test scripts and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
* Provides reporting on test progress, test outcomes, success rates, issues and risks
* Lead and mentor test engineers to ensure their continuous improvement

Mandatory Knowledge
* Knowledge of test environments, tools and infrastructure in an Agile environment
* Experience working in automation languages (either Python, Ruby, Java, C#)
* Experience working with SQL (writing stored procedures, queries, etc.)
* Experience with Unix/Linux command lines
* Good working knowledge of Client/Server applications and testing issues
* Testing theory, methods, techniques and tools
* Knowledge of the SDLC
* Knowledge of trends in testing and systems development
* Knowledge of test automation frameworks (GUI, unit test frameworks, etc.)
* Understanding in the use of structured software development and testing methodologies

Nice to Have Knowledge
* Financial experience a plus (working for a bank or trading firm)
* Big data experience
* Understanding of testing client/server and web applications
