Description
Large Online Payments/Financial Services Company in Dublin has an immediate Contract Job for a MySQL DBA.
The Problem:
There are some performance issues with of the MySQL Databases. The replication used for BI and Finance is breaking regularly.
The data therefore is not up-to-date and the reports are inacurate. They need to improve the system and make it more robust.
Duties:
- Fine tune MySQL configuration for optimal performance
- Review our replication set-up, providing a set of recommendations to improve reliability and up-time, action recommendations etc.
- Set-up and schedule monitoring tasks
Requirements:
- 5+ Years commercial DBA experience.
- 1+ Years Replication Experience (both master/slave and master/master) - working with high availability
- Strong Performance Troubleshooting Skills
- Advanced in MySQL on both Windows and Linux environment
Initially this is a 1 month daily rate contract. Open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
Daily rate is negotiable.
