My client is a leading investment bank currently in the market for a DevOp specialist. You will be responsible change management, deployment, and SDLC automation with the FX space. As well as raising and implementing global changes in pre-production and production environments, Work closely with the IT Security Risk and Support teams to ensure processes and tools are in line with the Bank's Best Practices and Security Standards.

Key Experience: 

  • Design and Implement tooling to enable better productivity and delivery of services to help drive the DevOps strategy
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve upon the development and build capabilities within team (eg CI/CD pipelines) and promote best practice standards throughout the wider department, and help drive the implementation of these changes
  • Engage with ITO for the procurement of any new tooling FX requires. This will include Vendor selection, Proof of Concept (PoC) evaluations and architectural agreement from ITO.
  • Work closely with the development managers to capture requirements for new infrastructure to support Business initiatives.
  • Liaise with the Business Managers and ITO to confirm budgets and help forecast and manage hardware costs.
  • Experience of Change Management & technical deployment procedures in large organisations, ideally gained supporting a Front Office environment is essential
  • Highly pro-active, strong organisational skills and good at producing production worthy automation
  • DevOp's evangelist who will enthusiastically engage with developers, support, management, and wider governance groups 

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of eCommerce network and server infrastructure including Firewalls, load balancers, webservers, websocket brokers, and associated technologies and concepts (DNS, CDN's,etc) is essential.
  • Strong Linux & Unix skills with proven Scripting ability is essential
  • A solid understanding of the SDLC in agile teams, specifically CD automation is essential
  • Experience of Jira, Git/Stash, Confluence, & TeamCity is highly beneficial
  • A technical background, with a strong Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar is highly beneficial, including experience with Object Orientated programming languages, ideally Java & JavaScript, is highly beneficial
  • Experience with ITRS Geneos configuration and support is highly beneficial
  • Experience with creating dashboards and search queries in Splunk using its Search Processing Language is highly beneficial
  • FX knowledge highly desirable
