Information Systems Analyst
Type: Contract
Location: Cork
This is a great opportunity to work with a Multinational Irish owned company. My client, one of Ireland's largest employers, is seeking an Information Systems Analyst to join their highly skilled team. The successful candidate will provide robust solutions for information projects and initiatives across business divisions and technologies working with both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivery of information solution projects including architecture and solution design
* Define principles, standards and methodologies for information deliverables
* Provide recommendations and solutions to critical issues
* Identify business issues and propose solutions, including viable alternatives, taking note of the constraints of the business/project, including the plan, the budget and the team
* Produce high-quality, fully tested, fully documented solutions while adhering to development methodologies and process standards
* Lead and mentor of team members to ensure that all deliverables are produced to high standards to agreed timeframe while maintaining a healthy group dynamic
* Encourage creativity, risk taking, and continued improvement for all team members
* Manage the plan, budget and resources for projects and deliverables of the full project life cycle
* Support IS solutions
Required Knowledge and Skillset
* Relevant 3rd level qualification
* 8+ years in a development environment with a minimum 3 years in an Information Systems environment
* Strong background in Data warehousing including star and snowflake schema. A sound understanding of dimensions and measures.
* Strong project skills
* Experience with SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services and Reporting Services
* Hands-on experience with data warehousing tools
* Experience developing ETL packages
* Strong RDBMS skills
* Experience with the following: ProClarity, SharePoint, Visual Studio, database performance tools
* Experience of OLAP Cubes and of report development using an OLAP tool
