VAS Technical support Engineers - Spain

Several VAS Technical support Engineers are needed in Madrid for one of our clients, a
prestigious international Telecommunications company. Fluent English and Good Spanish is required
and eligibility to work in Spain. It is on contract basis. Start time is in April


Responsiblities
The VAS Engineer is a key member of the services organization team will report to the Operation
Manager. He/she will be responsible for the daily VAS business operation & application maintenance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities would also include:
? To support 1st line support engineer to maintain the VAS system, include Hardware and software
? Perform daily system health checks to ensure system is fault free and performing without any
performance problems
? Assist alarm corrective activities to ensure performance related alarms are captured by the 1st
line support team
? Analyze daily reports which include traffic report, busy hour report, and etc
? Get involved in software & hardware upgrade
? Coordinate planned events with other section of engineering and planning
? Perform operation, maintenance & development activities that provide improved performance
? Monitor the performance of the VAS platform system and provide proposals for upgrades or extension
? Submit weekly reports for tasks carried out
? To be able to provide 24*7 on call supports for the VAS system under his responsibility and
ensure system operates without any faults and according to the committed KPI


Requirments
? Four years college diploma or university degree in computer, telecommunication, system
design.
? At least 3 years of experience in development, implementation, maintenance at least one of
VAS (SMSC/MMSC/IPTV/VMS etc) solutions in Telecom Operations,
? familiar with SMPP,iMAP,FTP,SMTP protocol and SS7 signal.
? Good knowledge on Operation Linux/Unix
? Good knowledge on Operation database(Oracle/MySQL)
? Knowledge of web server application such as Apache, Tomcat
? Good programming skills: Python, Perl, Framework jQuery UI CSS, Java
? Excellent Communication Skills with very good articulation in English/Spanish (written and verbal)
