Description
A premier government department in Canberra requires the services of a SoLR Web Developer to assist with further development of search to support application search layer. Work includes configuration of advanced search and data enhancer. There is a requirement to report on progress, and produce or amend support documentation for ongoing maintenance.
Duties Include:
Configure advanced search using Searching on Lucene w/Replication (SoLRTM) including faceting, and develop example application.
Further configure data enhancer and incorporate searching related documents, transcriptions and OCR content
Trial natural language processing of data
Identify any software, solution and database integration issues
Assist with user interface design concepts for search
Mandatory Criteria:
Baseline Australian Government security clearance is highly desirable
Hands on experience with SoLR and Java including schemas, and security standards
Experience with natural language processing tools and techniques
Demonstrated experience of working with data models, SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with business-to-business data interchange
Desirable Criteria:
Experience in .NET environment, ASP.NET MVC
User interface design experience
Documentation skills
Tertiary qualifications in IT/computer sciences
5+ years in ICT industry
