System Engineer is required to join a leading brokerage based in the City of London.
Key Responsibility of Systems Engineer:
- Design, Implementation, Operation, Support
- Maintain competence and personal development
- Take key decisions in respect of the impact of the fault/change on users and the existing infrastructure
- Systems Engineer will be expected to own some of the standards as well as assist with the development of others. This will include:
- Product selection and testing
- Configuration standards
- Life cycle tracking to ensure suitability for continued purchase, reuse or removal from the live environment
- Development of across-platform / product repeatable design patterns
- Understanding of storage, backup, database, network, orchestration, automation and other system management / configuration management
- Lifecycle management and upgrades to the core network infrastructure
- Maintain device software versions and configurations according to standards and policies
Essential Experience of Systems Engineer:
- Very strong understanding of Windows based technologies such as:
- Windows Server would be advantageous)
- Active Directory
- Exchange Server 2010
- Strong scripting skills
- (Powershell, Javascript, Perl, Python, Shell)
- Virtualisation
- VMWare RSX 4.0 - 5.0 or Hyper V- Server
- Any experience with UNIX/LINUX (Solaris, Redhat)
- Experience in Banking & Finance or a similar high pressure environment
Salary - Up to £50,000 + Attractive Benefits
