Description
Primary Responsibilities
Creation of ETL & Database project-level technical designs & documentation based on team best practices & standards
Assisting Project Managers with estimation and project plan creation
Represent project deliverables with WIDE platform team
Lead performance evaluations and tuning activities
Perform code reviews of project ETL deliverables
Assist with managing to agreed timelines
Acting as a point of technical escalation and resolution for database & ETL topics during the project life cycle
Assist the Quality Assurance group with the creation and executing of test cases
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree, preferably in an Information Systems or Mathematics background
Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Informatica and general ETL development
Exposure to Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing and modelling concepts
Strong hands-on experience with creating and understanding SQL
Experience with general Agile and Waterfall-based development methodologies
Skills and Knowledge
Experience with providing technical leadership, preferably across geographic disparate locations
Experience with data integration concepts and products in a large scale database implementation
Strong experience in end to end performance identification and tuning
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle database Scripting
Experience with general Agile and Waterfall-based development methodologies
Interpersonal skills: work closely with various inter-related groups & team members as well as business and technical audiences
Self-starter with ability to take initiative to achieve goals and meet deadlines with minimal direction
Ability to communicate with business and technical audiences in both verbal and written formats
Flexibility to travel
